The scene
A hut on a rock in a storm, and someone very large knocks the door down. Hagrid enters, apologises for the door, tells Vernon Dursley to dry up, mistakes Dudley for Harry, and then produces a birthday cake he’s sat on. Only after all that does he get to the point, in a single roared line that gives the scene its title. Hagrid carries eighteen of the thirty-three lines. Harry has nine, mostly questions. Vernon and Dudley get two apiece, and two lines are credited to Sound Effects: the door, and the shotgun bending in half.
What makes it good to dub is the gap between the size of the man and the softness of what he says. Most of Hagrid’s lines are warm and fumbling, a giant trying to be gentle in a small room, and the one shout is a surprise to him as much as to Harry. Harry, meanwhile, keeps insisting he’s just Harry, in a voice that gets smaller as Hagrid gets more certain. The rhythm is slow, with long pauses for cake and wonder, which is rare in a scene people know this well.

Performing it
Hagrid is a low rumble with a West Country roll, and the trap is doing the accent so hard the words vanish; the line about turning eleven suffers most. The title line should be the only real shout, and it lands better if you undersell everything before it. The two Sound Effects lines are yours to make with your mouth, a boom and a metallic groan. Harry’s lines are quiet and hesitant, with a stammer written into one. In a two-player room one of you is the giant and the other the boy plus the Dursleys and the door, a surprisingly busy second part.
