Dub-Off is a free voice over app that runs in your browser. It takes a short, well-known movie scene, drops the actors' dialogue out of the mix, and hands you the lines. (Most scenes have the dialogue on its own track and go properly silent; on the few that only have a full mix, a little of the original voice survives under the music.) You record your own voice over each one, and the scene plays back with you in the cast — the scene's music, footsteps and picture exactly as they were. There's no account to create and no software to download; a phone or a laptop with a microphone is the whole kit.
How to voice over a scene
- Pick a scene. The library has movie moments, memes and game cutscenes, each cut into its spoken lines. Every scene has a page that shows the lines and how long the clip runs.
- Record your voice over each line. A count-in leads you into the line, the original plays quietly underneath as a guide, and your take lands exactly where the actor's did. Redo any line as many times as you like.
- Watch the finished dub. The scene premieres with your voice in it. Download the video, or post it to the gallery where other players watch and vote.
Three ways to play
Solo — you voice every character yourself. Private Room — open a room, send friends the code, and split the scene's lines between you. Dub Roulette — get matched with a stranger who's online right now, then pick a scene together and record live; neither of you hears the other until the premiere.

"Movie scenes" is the short version.
