Take over every line of Naruto Defeats Pain and see how close you can get.
The scene
The final exchange of the Pain fight, told mostly from inside Pain's head. Thirty-seven lines over three minutes, and Pain has eighteen of them — a running count of the seconds until he can use his jutsu again, which Naruto spends the scene trying to outlast.
The structure is a countdown. Five seconds, four, three, two, one, zero, with Pain narrating each realisation as another shadow clone turns out to be hidden in the rubble. In the middle the scene stops for three short lines from Jiraiya, Minato and Kakashi, each saying they believe in him. Then Naruto's line — give up on trying to make me give up — and the Rasengan.

Performing it
Pain's countdown is the spine and it should be delivered as internal monologue, flat and analytical, right up until it stops being under control. Keep it quiet; the temptation is to shout an anime villain and it works far better as a man doing arithmetic. Naruto is mostly grunts and exhaustion for the middle third — those are real lines, not filler, and the fight has no weight without them. The three mentor lines are a change of register and should sound like memory rather than dialogue. The last line splits across three separate cues, so time the break before me give up!
The dialogue is muted and everything else stays — the score, the room, the picture. You record each line over the silence and the scene plays back with you in the cast. How a dub is made · what the score measures.
