Take over every line of Rick Prime's Bomb and see how close you can get.
The scene
Rick meets the version of himself that ruined his life, in a memory he is walking through. Rick has eleven of the twenty-six lines, Rick Prime ten, and Bug and Diane fill in the rest. A hundred seconds.
Rick Prime's pitch is the whole scene: the worst thing about inventing teleportation is that you can suddenly travel the multiverse, and what's about to be invented is more powerful than that. Imagine doing anything you want and hopping to a timeline where you never did it. Rick's answer — sounds lonely — is the one line that gets under his skin, and Prime's reply is that you have yourself, your infinite selves.

Performing it
Two performers doing the same voice is the challenge and the appeal. Rick Prime should be the smoother of the two: unhurried, amused, a salesman who already knows the answer. Our Rick is flatter and more tired, and "sounds lonely" should be thrown away rather than landed — he isn't scoring a point, he means it. Keep the two distinguishable by pace rather than pitch, since the rasp is the same; Prime takes his time, Rick doesn't. Bug and Diane are the memory around them and should sound softer, further off.
The dialogue is muted and everything else stays — the score, the room, the picture. You record each line over the silence and the scene plays back with you in the cast. How a dub is made · what the score measures.
