The scene

Gru addresses the minions in Latin American Spanish and takes a very long time to get to the point. Thirty-seven of the fifty lines are his, the minions have nine as a crowd, and Dr. Nefario four. Three minutes.

He begins by acknowledging that another villain has stolen the pyramids, that many are calling it the crime of the century, and that no, he isn't upset — a little, but not really. He raises the possibility of a pay rise purely to withdraw it. Then he lists what they have achieved, works his way to the announcement, and tells them they are going to steal the moon.

Performing it

Gru is an accent part and the accent is the joke, so commit to it and keep it consistent rather than perfect. The comic engine is his timing: he sets up applause and then delays it, offers the raise and takes it back, and the pauses need to be as long as they feel wrong. The minion lines are a crowd reaction and work best with a room — one excited noise, one disappointed one — and the disappointed one should be genuinely crushed. Save real volume for the announcement itself; everything before it is a man enjoying an audience.
